Avalon Hills' D-Day game is considered "old fashioned", which I guess it is, but IMO it's still a great simulation. Note the headline on the left under the red bar: "Casualties Light"--this was for the benefit of the folks back home; it was felt the American public was not ready for the truth about Omaha Beach. Even during the 50's the carnage was played down. (Which shows you just how ancient I am.)
