The First Collapse of Civilization using Triumph! rules

A cautionary tale. The world was at peace. Civilizations thriving.  A merchant prince thinks he has a better way. Tariffs are imposed and migrants are targeted. Civilization collapses for the first time as the migrants unite and take advantage of the world chaos. It is the appearance of the Sea Peoples (top of photos) that threatens to plunge the world into a lingering darkness. In our battle, the New Kingdom Egyptians (bottom of photos) attempt to halt the unstoppable foe.

Not wanting to let the Sea Peoples establish themselves, the NKE advance with their Chariots in the center and their archers on their right flank. 

 The NKE initial archer assault is a series of complete misses, which embolden the Sea Peoples

The Sea Peoples light foot are decimated under the continuing bow fire 

Then the NKE archers unleash a further rain of death upon the SP raiders (I have never seen so many 6 to 1 dice rolls in quick succession)

 On their left flank the NKE elite foot destroy the Sea Peoples elite foot 

 The NKE archers turn the SP flank while holding their battle line.

 The final blow from the NKE bows was a fitting end to the battle.

 The Sea Peoples defeat the NKE rabble on the NKE left flank. 

A surprising overwhelming victory for the NKE

Summary: In DBA, the Sea Peoples are legendary. All those blades. What can stop them ?  However, with the new  Triumph!  shooting rules, archers are no longer the "weak element" of any army.  Yes, there were a ridiculous number of 6 to 1 die rolls during our battle, nevertheless, Triumph! did an excellent job with their new rules for bows !  I encourage you to give Triumph! rules a try !
